Master of Business Administration
On Campus version
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at HTL International School is designed to develop strong leadership and management skills within an international and multicultural context. Its primary objective is to empower students to become strategic decision-makers capable of managing organizations in a globalized business environment.
Throughout the program, participants acquire advanced knowledge and competencies in general management, corporate administration, business consulting, and company evaluation, applying these skills to real-world professional situations. This MBA is open to both international and Spanish university graduates from diverse academic disciplines—including law, communication, engineering, health sciences, nutrition, arts, and humanities—who seek to enhance their expertise in business administration, strategic management, corporate assessment, and organizational development.
The curriculum integrates theoretical, linguistic, and practical components, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience. Each academic year is divided into three trimesters:
-
Theoretical trimester, focused on professional subjects and foreign-language training.
 -
Business Planning and Research trimester, where students develop strategic and analytical skills.
 -
Internship trimester, offering hands-on experience in companies in Spain or abroad.

The primary language of instruction is English, with additional intensive foreign-language modules available in Spanish, French, or Russian. Students may take an official state language exam upon completion of the modules. For Spanish studies, HTL International School serves as an accredited SIELE Examination Center of the Instituto Cervantes, allowing students to obtain recognized Spanish-language certification on campus.
The specialization modules are designed to provide professional expertise grounded in real-life case studies and industry experience. This practical approach enables graduates to enter the workforce immediately after completing the program, without requiring additional training. Academic evaluation is based on continuous assessment, written examinations, and the final project presentation.
After completing—or concurrently with—the theoretical modules, students must undertake an internship in a company related to their professional field, either in Spain or abroad. To ensure full accessibility and flexibility, classes can be attended on campus or through the virtual classroom (live streaming). This hybrid structure enhances academic mobility and ensures continuity of learning in any global context.
Students may also transfer between campuses or change their study modality—from on-campus to online or vice versa—after completing each module, promoting personalized academic progression and adaptability.

An MBA is extremely versatile and valuable and will allow you to pivot in many different directions depending on your career aspirations, skills, and interests. Let’s take a look at just a few of the career paths and job opportunities open to you following graduation:
1. Management Consultant
A management consultant’s job is to advise companies on their management practices and identify problems within the organization that may be holding the company back from reaching its goals. Many management consultants are self-employed, while others work for large firms. According to the Institute of Management Consultants, about 27% of consultants are self-employed. This is an ideal arrangement for many MBAs: a flexible career path with high earning potential.
2. Marketing Manager
Marketing managers oversee the planning and execution of a multifaceted marketing plan to help their companies grow. They set budgets, plan marketing campaigns, and manage staff on the marketing team to conduct market research, launch marketing campaigns, and analyze the data collected from each campaign to make improvements. Their goal is to create more brand awareness and bring in sales. Marketing managers must be knowledgeable about many different types of marketing approaches and also be skilled at leading a diverse team.
3. Investment Banker
Investment bankers help companies invest and grow their capital through the shrewd purchasing of equity and debt. They also provide advice and assistance during financial transitions such as acquisitions and mergers. Bankers are responsible for ensuring all pertinent paperwork is in order and that all government regulations are followed during any transactions
4. Operations Manager
An operations manager is sort of a company’s jack-of-all-trades. He or she oversees daily operations, purchasing, inventory, coordination between departments, and policy creation. Responsibilities may also include hiring employees and negotiating contracts. However, this job will vary depending on the organization and the expectations of the CEO. Therefore, this position requires a great deal of flexibility and multitasking
5. Financial Advisor
Financial advisors cater to individuals rather than businesses and play a key role in helping families plan for retirement, invest in their children’s education, and build individual wealth. A financial advisor looks out for their client’s best interests by suggesting good investment opportunities and creating realistic long-term plans. This is an excellent career path for MBAs who have a desire to help others become financially savvy.
The HTL MBA concentrates on helping you prepare for general management and executive leadership roles in business spheres. It’s about real-world learning that combines traditional classroom teaching with case studies and teamwork to develop management skills, encourage critical thinking, and sharpen your decision-making ability.
The team-based activities hone negotiation skills and emphasize the importance of working together co-operatively. Creativity and entrepreneurship are qualities that we are committed to encouraging.

The program blends the on-campus theory with the online study platform and in-company practical internship. Each academic year consists of three trimesters: theory trimester (language classes and professional subject classes); business planning and research trimester, and the Internship trimester.
On campus modality includes the possibility to connect to a virtual classroom from anywhere in Spain or in the world, and participate in class with all the students and the teacher. It is not required for students to be in a face-to-face class for any theoretical studies, exams or projects. This gives students and teachers the flexibility necessary in the modern world
Online modality consists of access to an online self-study platform, available 24/7. It is not required to spend a particular number of hours per day or week on the platform. Students can study at their own pace, combining their studies with an internship/job. Exams and evaluations are done on the self-study platform. The Final Business Planning and Research project is presented in on campus modality (in front of the teachers)
After the theoretical trimester is finished, all students need to do an internship. Internship requirements are:
* 240 hours per academic year (with the possibility to do more hours)
* internship tasks need to be in line with the study program
* internship can be done anywhere in the world, in person or remotely
* HTL International school does not place students in the company, but will assist with finding an offer and signing an internship agreement
For those who are working full-time or do not want to do the internship for any reason, there is an alternative to cover the necessary hours. This will be explained by the tutor.
