The Master in Hotel and Tourism Management at HTL International School is a one-year academic program designed to prepare professionals for leadership roles in the global hospitality and tourism industry. The program focuses on developing both strategic management skills and a deep understanding of how to operate successfully in an international, customer-oriented environment.
Students acquire a combination of theoretical knowledge, linguistic competence, and practical experience, ensuring a comprehensive education that bridges academic learning with real-world application. The academic year is structured in three trimesters:
-
Theoretical trimester, which includes foreign-language study and professional courses in hospitality and tourism management.
 -
Business Planning and Research trimester, dedicated to developing strategic and analytical projects.
 -
Internship trimester, providing hands-on experience within the tourism and hospitality sector.

The language of instruction is English, and the study plan includes intensive foreign-language modules. Students may choose to study Spanish, French, or Russian and take an official state-level language exam upon completion. For Spanish language learners, HTL International School serves as an accredited SIELE Examination Center of the Instituto Cervantes, enabling students to earn an internationally recognized certification on campus.
The specialization modules are built around practical case studies and real-industry experience, equipping graduates with the professional competencies required to enter the job market immediately after completing their Master’s degree—without the need for additional training. Academic performance is evaluated through continuous assessment, written examinations, and a final project presentation.
Upon completing—or concurrently with—the theoretical modules, every student must complete an internship in a hospitality or tourism company either in Spain or abroad. To provide maximum flexibility, classes can be attended on campus or through the virtual classroom (live streaming), ensuring continuous access to learning regardless of geographical location.
This hybrid structure promotes international mobility for both students and faculty, enabling active participation in the classroom environment from anywhere in the world and fostering a truly global approach to hospitality education.

Program structure

The Online Study Modality at HTL International School provides students with full 24/7 access to a specialized digital learning platform containing all essential study materials for each compulsory module in the academic plan. This system allows students to follow the same curriculum and academic standards as the on-campus version, while benefiting from maximum flexibility and global accessibility.
 -
As part of the study plan, every student must complete a foreign language preparation module, choosing between Spanish, French, or Russian. It is strongly recommended to take one of the official state language examinations, such as DELE or SIELE Global, at levels A1–C1.
HTL International School is an officially accredited SIELE Examination Center of the Instituto Cervantes, enabling students to obtain recognized Spanish-language certification directly through the school. -
Each academic module allows a three-month preparation period, during which students complete assignments, exams, and final projects. All evaluations and presentations are conducted fully online, without any requirement to attend campus sessions.
 -
Students also have the opportunity to undertake a professional internship anywhere in the world. The school provides full administrative support and signs all necessary internship agreements with partner companies. Internships may be completed simultaneously with the theoretical online studies, and upon completion, students must submit the official internship evaluation certificate to validate the corresponding academic credits.
 -
For additional flexibility, students may change their study modality—from Online to On-Campus or vice versa—each trimester, ensuring an adaptable and personalized learning experience aligned with individual professional or personal circumstances.
