How to Sign the Internship Agreement
How to sign the internship agreement
The rules and regulations may change from country to country, but generally, you need to be a student to do the internship. We will explain you how to sign the internship agreement.
Base for internship agreement
You should have a study program (Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, Diploma program, or Online course) to be able to turn your theoretical skills into practical ones. Without the education that you had before or are having at the same time, it is not logical for you to do the internship. There is nothing to practice if there is nothing to learn
This is how it usually works
(based on the Spanish system):
- You are a student in an educational center (not a language school)
- You find the internship offer that interests you and falls into the dates of your program (you can not do the internship once the program is over)
- You pass the interview and get OK from the company
- Your educational center signs the agreement with the company, so that the students of this center can do the internships in that company (The Agreement is signed yearly, so they may already have one in place)
- You sign the Annex to the agreement with all the details regarding your tasks, remuneration, and any other details of the internship
- At the end, the company provides you with the internship evaluation that you bring back to your educational center.
- And, if you are a valuable part of their team, the company may suggest you stay with them on the job contract.
It is not the same for everyone
Some details may be different depending on your educational program. In some cases, you will be allowed to do an internship only for a particular number of hours. In other cases, you would need to fulfill a particular type of research or evaluation for your educational center. So, make sure to check with your center first to be sure you are not missing anything.
