Furthermore, organizations face mounting demands from investors (41%) and other stakeholders (30%) to demonstrate AI initiatives. This pressure has intensified recently, with investor demands for AI adoption surging dramatically from 68% to 90% between late 2024 and early 2025.

Internal misalignment presents another major obstacle. Approximately 70% of executives acknowledge their AI strategy isn’t fully aligned with their business strategy. AI systems can dramatically amplify false information. Moreover, deepfakes—convincingly fake content created through Generative Adversarial Networks—can be produced for just $3 with only a few hundred pictures as training data.
