For the first time, Spain ranks as the world’s most tourism-friendly country in the World Economic Forum’s Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index. Spain receives approximately 85 million annual international tourist arrivals. Spain is rich in natural, and cultural resources and entertainment. It also scores high in infrastructure, travel, and tourism policy, conditions, and business travel. During the last few years, The World’s 50 Best Restaurant listings have been led by the Spanish restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, and The World’s Best Pastry Chef Awards are also led by Spanish chefs. All these facts position Spain as the best place in the world to study tourism at any level.
Get ready to study abroad, come to HTL Spain with the HTL International School Bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Tourism Studies!
HTL International School Bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Tourism Studies is divided into a 3-year program.
The main purposes and objectives are:
- To provide a basic knowledge of the tourism business and show the connections between hotel and travel management
- To acquire a general understanding of the specialization subjects, like events management, human resources, public relations, and tour guiding
- To improve English language communication skills
- To learn a second language and start to use it in a professional environment
This program will provide you with theoretical, linguistic, and practical skills. The academic year is divided into three trimesters: the theory trimester (including languages and professional subjects), the specialization project trimester, which depends on the program of your bachelor’s degree (e.g., hotel and tourism studies, business administration, international business), and an internship trimester.
Your journey at HTL is completely international — the program is taught in English, and you’ll also develop your language skills by studying Spanish, French, or Russian through our intensive modules.
By the end, you’ll be ready to take an official language exam, and if you choose Spanish, you can get your SIELE certificate right at HTL International School, an accredited Instituto Cervantes center.
Our career-focused specialization modules give you the practical expertise that companies are looking for. You’ll graduate ready to work — no extra training needed.
Evaluation is based on ongoing performance, exams, and your final project.
To complete your program, you’ll take part in an internship — in Spain or abroad — applying everything you’ve learned in a real company.
Whether you prefer on-campus learning or live virtual classes, you’ll stay connected to your professors and classmates from anywhere in the world.
Students can transfer between campuses or change the modality of their studies from on-campus to online after completing one module and before starting the next one. The face-to-face modality is offered only on the Barcelona campus. The virtual classroom modality is presented in Barcelona, Madrid, and Valencia on the same timetable as the face-to-face modality.
