HTL International School Bachelor’s Degree in International Business is taught in English and aimed at recent high school graduates with a strong academic background, international career ambitions, and the drive to gain knowledge and skills in the international business field.
HTL International School Bachelor’s degree in International Business is divided into a 3-year program:
- During the first year, you will concentrate on the fundamentals of business, such as the basics of marketing, management, business economics, and human resources. You will get the theoretical bases of business that will help you to understand business practices in global contexts.
- During the second year, you’ll receive a deeper knowledge of economics, international management, corporate finance, and personal skills.
- The third year takes a deep insight into the practical and theoretical areas that are related to the broad field of international business.
Intended learning outcomes:
- Solid understanding of cross-border, cross-cultural international business, trade, law, and economics to compete in the international business labor market, as well as add value to domestic firms/employers with international relationships.
- apply proven theoretical and conceptual knowledge of global business challenges in multicultural contexts
- communicate effectively in English in oral, written, and electronic formats using communication and information technology for business applications, and the ability to prepare and present reports
- learn a second language, and start to use it in a professional environment
This program will provide you with theoretical, linguistic, and practical skills. The academic year is divided into three trimesters: the theory trimester (including languages and professional subjects), the specialization project trimester, which depends on the program of your bachelor’s degree (e.g., hotel and tourism studies, business administration, international business), and an internship trimester.
All classes are taught in English, making your international education experience truly global.
Alongside your Master’s studies, you’ll learn a new language — Spanish, French, or Russian — through our intensive language modules.
You’ll have the opportunity to pass an official language exam, and if you choose Spanish, you can take the SIELE exam directly at our school, since HTL International School is an official SIELE testing center of Instituto Cervantes.
Our specialization subjects focus on real-world professional skills that prepare you to start working right after graduation. Assessment is based on continuous evaluation, tests, and a final project presentation.
You’ll also complete an internship — either in Spain or any other country — to gain practical experience in your sector.
Courses are available on campus or online via virtual classroom, giving you maximum flexibility to keep studying no matter where you are.
Students can transfer between campuses or change the modality of their studies from on-campus to online after completing one module and before starting the next one. The face-to-face modality is offered only on the Barcelona campus. The virtual classroom modality is presented in Barcelona, Madrid, and Valencia on the same timetable as the face-to-face modality.
